Emily Wynter Psychology is based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, providing holistic psychological support and specialised gut-focused therapy.

Emily’s approach to therapy is based on empathy, trust, and collaboration. She aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for her clients, understanding that each individual is unique and requires personalised care.

Emily is an experienced and friendly Psychologist who brings a compassionate, thoughtful and practical approach to her work. Emily works collaboratively with her clients to help them better understand themselves and to develop personalised interventions to facilitate healthy growth and change.

Emily is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is also a member of The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI). She has undertaken further training in several evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based strategies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

In her spare time, Emily enjoys being a mum to her two young children, going to the beach and practising yoga & pilates.

Experience

Emily has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including young people 17+ years and adults. She has worked extensively in private practice, hospital settings in individual & group therapy, and workplace wellbeing in corporate organisations.

Emily has a passion for working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief & loss, body image concerns, weight management, fertility issues, IVF and pregnancy.

Emily also has a particular interest in the brain-gut connection. She has worked extensively with individuals experiencing gut-related issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and functional belching disorders, having spent several years at the specialised Neurogastroenterology Centre at Queen Mary University of London. She offers gut-directed hypnotherapy and CBT as part of a treatment plan where appropriate.
